Prudence Masako BIOGRAPHY

A versatile public health specialist leader with rich experience of over 17 years in executing needs-based strategy, change management, business development, Monitoring and evaluating people's management and coaching, and public relations. A known expert in maternal and child health, nutrition, SRH, HIV, cervical cancer, Malaria, and other non-health programs in Tanzania. Holds a Bachelor of Home Economics and Human Nutrition from the University of Sokoine, Tanzania, and a Master of Science, Public Health in Developing Countries (MPH) from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U.K. Currently, the Country Representative of EngenderHealth Tanzania since August 2018, responsible for leading the organization's direction in Tanzania and contribute to the overall global strategic objectives. Before assuming the country representative's role, was the Deputy Country Representative and Head of the Programs of EngenderHealth Tanzania. During her ¦rst year at EngenderHealth led the country and mobilized over $19 million. Before EngenderHealth, worked with Population Services International (PSI) for over four years in different capacities as a Project Director for FCDO Family Planning Program, Director of Reproductive Health, and Deputy Director of Programs - Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) and Malaria, where she led high-performing programs which saved thousands of lives of Tanzania women and girls. Possesses strong managerial, technical skills and experience in leading large, diverse teams on complex, multi-million dollar, and multi-partner funded programs. Before PSI, worked with Measure evaluation-(Palladium), UNFPA, COUNSENUTH ( USAID Mwanzo Bora Project), VSO, PharmAccess, and World vision. Has played a critical role in strengthening Public-Private partnerships in Health service delivery and system strengthening and has been instrumental in turning organizations' performance around. Recipient of two Women leadership awards from the World Women Leadership Congress: A Pioneering Woman Leader The award, and East Africa Woman Leader Award. A recipient of 50 Top Women in management in Tanzania from Women in Management, Africa, November 2020, also the chairperson of the Board of Trustee of Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial Hospital in Dar es Salaam.
